Filters and Special Effects - 'Made in Chelsea'.

After we finished inserting the clips we wanted to use in our music video, we noticed that it looked far too much like a 'student video', a video which didn't look very professional and didn't convey quite the genre as clearly as we had hoped. As a result, we experimented with the colour filters and found that by tweaking a few of the colours, we could make our production that much more sharp. We varied our filters throughout our production which enhanced our video that much more. Most of the scenes were fairly bold and bright, we could've made our video look almost 'cartoony' by changing the filters, but we felt that this was an effect we didn't need. We could've also made our clips black and white - yet again we felt that by doing this, it wouldn't compliment the traditional conventions of "Hip-"Hop" - something of which we were very keen to focus on.

A great example of a colour filter-effect is within the show 'Made in Chelsea'. The colour filter used makes the filming look more professional and improves skin tone, we too had noticed that our own skin tone looked much sharper once we had editing our clips with the filter. It was effects such as these that we was missing in order to create a much more sophisticated production.
